Rare Disease Day 2020
29 February 2020 is Rare Disease Day, the worldwide day of action for all people suffering from rare diseases, 4 million of them in Germany alone.
On the occasion of Rare Disease Day, an article about Milly’s Mission will appear in the BILD newspaper (€) on 29 February. After countless requests in the last two years, this is the first time that a German mass medium reports on BPAN and informs a broad public about the problem of rare fatal diseases in childhood and adolescence. On 1 March, there will also be a detailed article about our campaign in the new issue of the family magazine StadtLandKind. We would like to thank all media representatives for their support in the fight against NBIA – BPAN!
On 3 March 2020, Milly’s dad will inform about rare diseases and BPAN with a short presentation. He will combine this with a popular science lecture on the topic “ExoMars – The search for traces of life on Mars”. The event will take place at 7 pm at Hubertusstift in Willich-Schiefbahn, Königsheide 2-6. We would like to thank Mr Hans Lehmann, the Disability Officer of the town of Willich and Ms Stephanie Becker-Vieten from the Hubertusstift for their support. Admission is free. Donations for BPAN research would be appreciated.
